Guesswork leaves the crop short, and every bag costs more.

Without a soil test, fertilizer goes on by habit. Studies of Philippine rice farms find nitrogen applied below what the crop needs, while the price of a bag of urea nearly tripled in under two years.

About 1 ton more palay per hectare is possible in irrigated areas with 1 to 2 more bags of urea per hectare.Dawe et al. (2007), cited in Briones (2016), p. 7

Three steps, right on the field.

  1. Connect

Scan the QR code on your SENSE SOIL. The app pairs with it over Bluetooth.

  2. Probe

Push the probe in at 10 to 20 spots across your field. Each reading saves with its GPS location.

  3. Apply

Get a soil grade and a fertilizer plan for your crop and season, offline.

See it work in the app.

Three top features.

Screens from the RidgeCon app with a demo field. The satellite points are demo data.

Questions, answered.

Do I need internet?

No. Testing, results and the fertilizer plan all work offline. You can upload your records later, when you have a connection.

What phone do I need?

An Android phone with Bluetooth and GPS.

How accurate is it compared to a soil lab?

RIDGECON is for testing in the field, so you can act before the planting window closes. The probe is checked against the DA Regional Soils Laboratory. For certification, a lab test is still the reference.

What do LOW, MEDIUM and HIGH mean?

Each nutrient is graded against reference ranges for your soil texture and crop, compiled from BSWM, PhilRice and Department of Agriculture sources.

Who owns my farm data?

You do. Your records are stored encrypted on your phone, and uploading them is your choice. We follow the Data Privacy Act (RA 10173).
